Light of the World Doberman

We want every family to feel confident, informed, and excited throughout the journey of bringing home their new Doberman puppy. Below is our clear and transparent adoption process.

1. Submit a Puppy Application 📃

Start by filling out our Puppy Application (or our Waitlist Form if you’re still deciding).

This helps us understand your home, lifestyle, and what you’re looking for so we can make the best possible match.  👉Application

2. Reserve Your Puppy - 500 Deposit 💰A $500 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a puppy or secure your spot in the litter.

This deposit is applied to the total price of your puppy.

Deposit Policy:

Deposits are non-refundable, but they may be transferred to a future litter one time if needed.

3. Video Call Puppy Pick Day 📹Once your application is approved, we’ll schedule a video call so your family can meet the puppies and choose your puppy early. After you choose, you’ll receive weekly photos 📸(usually on Mondays) and until pickup day so you can watch your puppy grow and bond with their new family.

4. Puppy Pick Timeline ⏰

Pickup is at 8 weeks old, once the puppies have received veterinary clearance.

5. .Pricing 💵

Prices vary depending on litter, bloodline, and availability.

Puppies typically start at: $1,500 - $2,500.

We are transparent about pricing from the beginning—no hidden fees, no surprises.

6. Sign the Puppy Agreement 📝

After choosing your puppy, we will send a clear and detailed Puppy Ownership Agreement.

Both parties will sign the contract, and we’ll confirm your scheduled pickup date and time.

7. Puppy Photo Updates 📸

From the time you choose your puppy until pickup day, you will receive weekly photo updates (usually on Mondays). You’ll be able to watch your Doberman grow, bond, and develop their personality each week.

8. Health & Genetic Guarantee 🧑‍⚕️

All of our puppies come with a 1-year genetic health guarantee, ensuring they are free from serious inherited conditions that could affect their quality of life.

Each puppy receives a wellness exam from a licensed veterinarian prior to going home.

(Please note: the guarantee does not cover illnesses, accidents, or conditions caused by environment, diet, or improper care.)

9. Pickup Day & Final Payment On pickup day, the remaining balance is due in cash You will go home with:

• AKC registration paperwork

• Vaccination & deworming record

• Licensed veterinarian wellness exam report

• Handmade puppy-friendly bar soap for sensitive skin and coat

• Copy of your signed Puppy Agreement

• Small bag of current food (2 days’ worth)

• Toy or blanket with familiar litter scent

• Ear crop aftercare information (if applicable)
